Thank you for taking an interest in
our long term residents! Most
of the animals that you will see
here are those who have been living
happily in the sanctuary for many
years.
All of the cats housed here were
feral at one time, but life in the
sanctuary has taught several of them
to trust the humans who care for
them. Although they have come
far in closing the gap between them
and their domestically raised
counterparts, they remain with some
quirks and unique personalities that
keep them as permanent sanctuary
residents.
Each long term sanctuary resident is
here due to his unique personality.
Many of the cats are still very
fearful and will not tolerate
touching. Some will tolerate
and even enjoy being petted, but
cannot manage being comfortable when
being held. But each of these
small creatures are given whatever
space and time is necessary for them
to feel safe, loved and cared for.
We are proud of our sanctuary
"children" and enjoy sharing their
photos with you. Hopefully you
will get to know them even better as
this site expands!
Please bear with us as are we making
many changes at the sanctuary and
are working diligently to bring more
information about our animals and
what we do to the web! |
